The fan and thermal management category includes products and materials used to facilitate heat transfer and/or air movement, and thermal accessories related to such products. In context of electronic devices and systems, such products are commonly used to maintain the temperatures of power-dissipationg components within acceptable operating limits.

Thermal Management

Thermal management uses passive or active methods to keep machinery, equipment, electronics, batteries and other devices within a specified temperature range. Passive methods simply attach to the device or machine and work through natural radiation, convection or conduction. These include heat sinks, cold plates and heat pipes. Active methods use another device to speed up the cooling such as a fan or pump.

Thermal management is a key element within electronic design and keeping components cool is a key consideration. Over-heating is one of the primary causes of malfunction of modern devices. For example, modern computers will generally use both active and passive cooling methods with a heat sink and fan on the processor to provide the necessary cooling.

DC Brushless Fans

DC Brushless motors (BLDC motors) with a cross pattern arrangement of four permanent magnets positioned on the sides of the rotor are used in brushless DC fans. BLDC motors, unlike brushed DC motors, do not require a commutator or brushes to function.

A strong BLDC motor, shaft, and fan blades make up the DC Brushless Cooling Fan. These fans are long-lasting, dependable, and energy-efficient. They don't cause any sparks in the circuit and are completely silent.

DC Brushless fans achieve their full capability quickly due to the strong initial torque provided by DC motors. Increasing or reducing the voltage input is all it takes to adjust their speed. Brushless DC fans may be divided into two types: Sensor-driven BLDC fans and sensor-less BLDC fans are available.
