The company is best known for developing the iconic Round-Headed Ratchet and other premium tools like the SK X-FRAME Ratcheting Wrench. After nearly 90 years in business and several changes in ownership, SK Hand Tools declared bankruptcy in June 2010. However, IDEAL Industries acquired the company, ensuring that it remained American-owned and committed to producing exclusively U.S.-made tools. Today, SK Hand Tools operates from a 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Sycamore, Illinois, and continues to offer a wide range of high-quality tools, including sockets, wrenches, ratchets, and pliers, backed by a lifetime warranty.
